Physical Education Goals
Prepare students with skills for future leisure pursuits through exposures to various individual, team, and alternative activities.
Formulate activity patterns that can be extended into adulthood.
Reduce risk for specific health problems including: coronary heart disease, hypertension, colon cancer, and depression, as well as lower all-cause death rates.
Improve understanding of health-related fitness concepts.
Increase areas of health-related fitness.
Reduce stress and increase energy-enriching quality of life.
Develop students’ sense of security with their own body.
Produce a positive effect on physical development. Improve overall mental health.
Contribute to academic progress by boosting self-esteem.
Provide students with a better understanding of the why behind movement.
Teach safety techniques, reducing accidents outside of school.
Provide an outlet for creativity and self-expression.
Increase awareness of physical opportunities within the family and the community.

Welcome to Coach John Brown's Physical Education Website
This site is designed to help the student with information about my physical education class so he or she will be successful in the class.
The Physical Education program is designed to teach skills, knowledge, sportsmanship, and safety through an exposure to a wide variety of sports and recreational activities. The student will establish a degree of physical fitness, a respect for a healthy body and mind, and an appreciation for lifetime sports.
