Bio

My name is John Brown. I began my teaching and coaching career immediately after receiving my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of West Florida . Prior to accepting the position of head varsity baseball coach for White County High School I served as an administrator, coach and teacher at University Christian School in Jacksonville , FL. I was privileged to lead several state championship teams in baseball and also be part of championship football teams. I was elected to the Florida Athletic Coaches’ Hall of Fame in 2000. I have been teaching and coaching at White County High School for nine years and I have had the privilege of head coaching five baseball teams that have made the state playoffs. I also had the privilege of being the head coach of the softball team that won the State Championship (2010)and coached 3 teams that played in the state playoffs. My wife and I have 2 sons. Both reside in the Jacksonville area. One is in the construction industry; the other is an officer with the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office. We have two grandsons.
